Eternal Tides
A Finger of Land on an Old Man's Hand: Adventures in Mexico's Baja Wilderness
I met Earl and his wife, Suzanne, several years ago over lunch in Phoenix, discussing fundraising strategies for an NGO they set up in Guatemala, “Seeds for a Future,” which provides training to impoverished rural women on the South Coast. I soon learned that we shared a love and appreciation of Guatemala and the Desert Southwest and that Earl was also a writer and, in his case, a poet.

In a world of breath-taking natural beauty and untold dangers, Adam discovers the future is a terrifying world of discipline and work, where fun does not exist.

My Bad Tequila
This is one gut wrenching, raw, and riveting read. Austin’s descriptions have you right next to him and you feel his pain. I could see the scenery on his travels, I could taste the food and yes, the tequila. I could smell the foul air of the bars and casinos. My Bad Tequila is a very good book that will have you turning page after page until you reach the end, not realizing how much time has passed. I was absolutely blown away by the ending. It’s not often a book like this ends with my tearing up, but this one did. How much is fact and how much is fiction?
Allegro for Life
I met the author and his wife, Suzanne, several years ago over lunch in Phoenix, discussing fundraising strategies for an NGO they set up in Guatemala, “Seeds for a Future,” which provides training to impoverished rural women in and around Chocolá on the South coast, to improve family access to food and nutrition. I soon learned that we not only shared a love and appreciation of Guatemala and the Desert Southwest but that Earl was also a writer and, in his case, a poet as well.
