In Fury in Her Eyes by Phillip Vega, Pulitzer-Prize-winning Hispanic photojournalist Oliver ‘Ollie’ Morales is attacked during the U.S. Capitol events on January 6, 2021. This assault is the climax of a vendetta from Ollie's prep school days. As Ollie heals, he reflects on his senior year in high school during the mid-1980s, where his friendship with a newcomer from Belgium, Navil Laurent, leads to violent events instigated by jealous classmate Jackie Woodley. Ollie's refusal to cooperate with authorities lands him in jail, but after his release, he and Navil uncover shocking truths in Jackie's journal. In the present, Ollie investigates his attack with Detective Karen Skaryd, confronting his past and seeking redemption. Fury in Her Eyes is a powerful tale of love, loss, and forgiveness.

The photos are heartwarming and provide an enhanced sense of understanding to her stories about each kitty. While I love kittens, I could never do what Sharon did for so long. I just can’t imagine the dedication and love she put into each one of these fur babies and she has my everlasting admiration for it.
