Hearts in My Pocket
Nancy Tupper Ling is a children’s book writer & poet, former children’s librarian, and the winner of the prestigious Writer’s Digest Grand Prize and the Pat Parnell poetry award, with 13 books.
Her most recent picture book, HEARTS IN MY POCKET (Union Square, 12/10/24, ages 4 - 9), is an emotionally powerful picture book that will resonate with children who also have big feelings after a divorce or other life changes.
Nancy and the illustrator for HEARTS, Shirley Ng-Benitez, are both available to join the interview to discuss how they pitched the book together and collaborated during the entire book-making process.
Additionally, Nancy is available to discuss the importance of sharing faith with children, writing about faith-based topics, reading to increase empathy, why SEL matters, the process of creating a picture book, and writing poetry.
Please let me know if you’d like to speak with Nancy on the podcast.
Many thanks!
