In an attempt to rescue his failing marriage, Rob takes his wife away for a long weekend, but where they ended up was not where he had intended taking her. In the small rural community, a practice begun there has now changed, and things have been done a certain way for nearly 150 years, a way that the locals like, a way that outsiders were not to have known about. By the time this unimaginable practice is revealed to the couple by the elderly matriarch of the community, it is already too late for the couple. If there is to be any chance of escaping, Rob and Jennifer will have to work together, trust each other, but Jennifer's own recently revealed dark secret could make that impossible. When a glimmer of hope for returning to what they once knew as normal presents itself, a chance they never believed themselves capable of taking has to be grabbed, but the decision to be made afterwards is nothing less than unthinkable. Loyalty and devotion will be tested as never before.
