I was a mom, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin, friend, retired reading specialist and wife...and then life changed. I hit my limit and decided I couldn't be a wife any longer. I knew I deserved more. I was determined to make sure the hard days wouldn't win. I had written an educational book about teaching reading and writing to young learners and I loved writing. I created workbooks for young learners. I made faith-based coloring books for young children. But writing those books seemed easy. I knew how to teach children. I knew how to make a workbook. I loved to color, so making a coloring book was fun. Writing a book about divorce wasn't the same. It was easy to write about my experience, but it wasn't easy going through it. As I say in this book, going through divorce feels like building the plane while flying. BUT I never stopped flying. I leaned on my family, my friends, and my faith. Even when I didn't feel it, I was Braver Than I Knew
