By Krysten Lindsay Hager
In True Colors, author Krysten Lindsay Hagar took me time traveling. She took me back to a time (back more years than I care to count), when all was not right with the world, when I was so focused on fitting in and trying to be part of a group, I lost me. The early teen years can be fun, full of joy and laughter or they can be full of tears, heartbreak and confusion. Hager writes about Landry and her journey toward finding who she really is and the pain of getting there. This book is not just for the young adult audience, it is for anyone who would like to take down memory lane, for whatever reason. It certainly made me think about all the “what ifs” of my own journey.
